I had All-Terrains before and they held up great in the snow. Mud-Terrains I've heard are better but more expensive. Radial T/As work well too in all (but off-road) conditions.

I love the Pirelli Scorpion ATR's that I have on my rig ...double side wall protection ....great road grip ...I haven't tried them out off-road ..but a guy I know has them on his Jeep and swears by them.
I also love the way they look ...well, as much as you can love the way a tire looks. lol

BFG All Terrains are supposed to be one of the best A/T tires available and have been on the market for a long time. I have heard good things about Pirelli Scorpion ATRs on the road as well....They actually outsold the BFG A/Ts on tirerack.com. I need new tires and have been thinking about getting either of those or Goodyear Wranglers. If money was not a factor, what All Terrain tire would you guys pick for highway and offroad 50/50?
Also, my old man has had BFGs on many many trucks. He said they are awesome..but the only downside is you have to rotate them all the time or they will wear funny, but they perform great.

my bfgs are definitely an awesome combination of on-road manners and off-road skill... my only beef is the tread life is kind of short, but i was a little hard on them, so maybe not
