Default I think i have a problem with my Fuel pump?

So i have a 2000 silverado 1500 with the 5.3, i think the fuel pump might be messed up? well heres how it goes. before i started having problems i noticed that when the truck is cold, and i turn on the ignition (not starting it) i got a pretty loud kinda like something was vibrating against sheet metal coming from around the gas tank. i took note of it but nothing really changed with the truck it fired right up no problems. now i seem to have another problem. when i turn it on and try to start it it wont start, takes a couple times cranking to start it. is my fuel pump gonna die on me? and i forgot to mention it only happens after the truck has been warmed up and i go to like a store or something and come back out. when she's cold it still fires right up. seems really weird.

You could look at one of your plugs and O2 sensors to see if it running lean.

How do you go about doing this pressure test? Where can you find a tester? Im guessing you hook it on the fuel line before the filter?

You should have a pressure test point under the hood on the fuel line. Screw on a gauge and see what you got. Be careful when you first screw it on, you want to relieve the pressure or do like most and just wrap a rag around it so the gas won't squirt you.
