I had to put a new cluster in my girlfriends Pontiac Sunfire once. We were able to get one from a junk yard, but it had to be installed by a dealer. The car wouldnt run with the new cluster because it screwed up the anti-theft or something like that. I found that out the hard way. Got the new one in, and the dash all buttoned back up and the damn thing would crank, fire once, then shut down. Had to take it all back apart (left it apart to save some labor cost from the dealer) and take it so they could program the computer to recognize the new cluster.

I would think Chevys would be similar. Id call your local dealer and ask someone in the service department. If thers no computer issue its very easy to put in, half hour tops.

clusters for 03-07classics are interchangable. you can go on ebay and buy one. its plug and play. the only thing the dealer would have to do is reprogram for the mileage. the miles are contained within the cluster itself. i got an ss cluster off ebay for like $95. plugged it up and everything works
