Do any of you guys know if there are any aftermarket intake manifolds out yet for the 4.8 to get rid of the very restrictive stock truck manifold. i read in hot rod magazine that FAST makes one but it was put on a 6.0 they were building.

 

I need to know the same, whats out there for the 4.8. I plan on doing a cam and heads soon, since these parts are avalible from edelbrock and lunati, respectively, and I need to get the air in there to help make these mods worth the money spent

Has anyone swapped to an aftermarket intake manifold while retaining stock heads?

 

i was under the impression that the intake on our trucks is pretty good stock, course i have the 99 5.3. did anything change with the 4.8? I really ask becasue my old man just bought an 07 silverado with the 4.8

 

We need the longer runners for the torque... A buddy of mine tries the FAST intake on his Silverado and lost like 30 Lb.Ft on the dyno...
