I just finished finding the cause of the same problem, and joined the forum so I could post a reply. I have a 2002 Silverado andI had a problem with thewireing harness plug that goes into the relay panel just to the left of the brake pedal. If you remove the cover of the relay panel and wiggle the wires in the big connection plug, you will likely find that your interior lights will flicker. Hope this helps someone.

My truck is doing the same thing, however it is very intermittent. Sometimes it works and you can hear the relay click when it comes on or off. Even if your driving down the road. I did notice that when the interior lights/ cargo lights do not work, the horn also does not work when you hit the lock button twice on the remote. I have wiggled and checked all the wires behind the relays and it still has the same problem. could it be in the keyless entry system?
