intermediate shaft
just make sure the wheel goes back to the same position..in other words...
turn the wheel slightly "right".open hood.
remove the bolt/nut holding the shafts together and slip shaft up.
get uinder dash...you'll have to rotate the wheel "left" to get on the bolt underneath..unbolt it and slide the shaft out to you.
slide new shaft in (can be a bitch to "hit the hole"
bolt er up..
NOW..MAKE SURE THE WHEEL GOES BACK TO WHERE IT WAS..BUT WITHOUT "ADDING TURNS"...bolt er up outside

Before each time I've removed the intermediate shaft, I took the driver's seat belt, fed it through the lower opeining of the steering wheel and buckeled it. I made the belttight so there was no way of accidentily turning the wheel.
