Hmm, well, cleaned up the rotor and distro cap (which are pretty new), gonna find out what an o2 sensor is and swap the ignition coil see if that helps haha

Founds some rusty lookin powder under the rotor too, probably means something LOL

thanks again

Trying to test the ignition coil... can't find any way to test the control mod yet

MrDragon you're awesome! Couldn't find anything that's suggested what you have so far!

haha well just tried the code thingy again... did everything the same... but it spit out 34... so you were right.

also found a wire near the harness to the MAP (MAF?) sensor slightly exposed... could that trigger it?

Changed the MAP sensor, no luck.

Next step is check brake lines etc for any leaks... see if there's a way to check the brake power booster.... apparently that's a cause........ somehow. I should figure out why first LOL

A bad coolant temp sensor can cause issues like that. You said it is only when the truck is hot so that could be the culprit. Also I would remove and clean the IAC valve and do a IAC reset. Also check fuel pressure and make sure the injectors are spraying a clean conical pattern. The TBI truck are fairly simple compared to the new stuff.
