hi i ihave a 1997 k3500 with a 6.5 td, i was wondering what model axle i would most likely have in the rear? or what would be the bets way to find out?

Is it a 14bolt rearend cover and do you know how many splines are on the axle? It could be a Dana 80 model or a GM 10.2 and i even think one more. You could always call Jeg's and they could probaly help you identify it over the phone of course if you had that other info, I could probaly tell you. I think you could probaly call the a dealer and give them the VIN# and they could tell you as well. Hope that helps.
