leveling a 2008 extended cab long bed?

Question leveling a 2008 extended cab long bed?

just got a 2008 extended cab long bed and need to lift up the backend when towing a trailer.would a add-a-leaf system work best or air shocks/bag system?

I think this would all come down to personal preference and your budget. Wiegh out the pros and cons.

I used an air bag set up on my last truck. I like the air bags because when the truck is not loaded the ride will not change. It was the Air Ride setup. A helper spring will make the truck stiff in the back when there is nothing in there. Just my opinion though.

I agree with Old Blue 80, I have had air bags on 2 trucks and still love em. I know people who have had helper springs and they all say the ride suffers. As someone else said - it is a matter of opinion - weigh the pro and cons. You can probably find a list of pro and cons on Firestones web site - I think it is ride-rite.com
