Leveling kit 2002 1500HD 4x4
Any opinions on the best leveling kit for my truck? I have seen prices from $35 to $275. All are basically the same design, some with new shock mounts, some without. What about wear on CV joints? Any steering issues to be aware of? I am new to this forum, looking forward to getting input from other owners.
Thanks

If your truck is a 1500 HD ie. with 6.0 litre than basically you have a 3/4 ton truck. All you need is a set of torsion bar keys out of a 1/2 ton GM truck. Your stock shocks will be fine. I would recommend you get a shop to do this for you unless your really up on this, can be dangerous if you aren't careful and have the right tools.
There are sites out there that show you how to do this, I looked however I can't seem to find them right know.
Good luck

Sorry I forgot to mention that you will need a front end alignment when you are done.
If you have a standard 1/2 ton ie. 5.3 or 4.8 you can use the ford torsion bar keys, that's what I did on mine. It sits truely level now and I don't need to crank them up.
