Hey guys I just came out to my hometown for a visit and the other day I was talking with my dad and we wondered if the 78 chevy pickup would start. Note, it has been sitting for almost 5 years and the weather here changes dramatically throughout a typical year. We put a battery in and pumped the gas pedal a few times and it started right up! It was amazing. Over 270,000 miles with the original motor. We want to restore this truck since it has been in the family for 27 years.

A buddy of mine from work had his uncle give him an 82 chevy that he was gonna scrap. It had been sitting so long that it took a chainsaw to get it out. (trees) We put it on a flatbed and took it to his place where we took the battery out of my truck and put it in the 82. We then put fresh gas in her and after about a minute of pumping and goosing it she started right up. Everything rubber has rotted out though, but its a work in progress
