Lost mpgs

cleaned my throttle body now I am getting 2 mpg less then I was, a buddy of mine told me I have to have the dealership reset my computer. Anybody know anything about this

06 silverado 4x4 5.3 just had rear drum brakes put on right brfore this problem camr up taking it to shop and to have them readjusted to see if that could be the problem

Did you just spray it while it was still bolted on? It is much better to take it off and clean all of it fron to back, even the IAC valve, which can get gunky and make the motor run lean.
