I have a 2002 1500 with a 4/6 drop. I went to replace the lower ball joint and the shank is not long enough to go through the lowering knuckle and get a nut on. If anyone could help me find the correct ball joint I would appreciate it. The moog k6539 is too short and will not work.

 

After thoroughly cleaning the upper and lower control arms, can you see any kind of identification?
What I'm getting at... The only way to find the correct ball joint is to identify the lowering kit

 

That's what I was thinking .. gonna have to see who made the lowering kit for you to be able to figure out what balljoing you need.

 

I could not find anything on the control arms but the steering knuckle is belltech. I did notice that the ball joints were flipped over from a stock truck.

 

Did you ever find the correct lower ball joint? We are having the same problem right now. PO flipped the lower ball joint and the k6539 will not work. We'd like to keep the truck lowered but just can't seem to find the right part!
