I just came across this forum and thought id ask some questions like what can I do to make my truck run better and faster with out spending a fortune it's a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 SLT and it's BONE STOCK. I’m open to any suggestions.

Some of the best and easiest things to install is a cold air intake, mine is a K&N, and a computer programer like a Hypertec. I was suprised at the level of power from something that easy to install. They really detune those computers from the factory.

 

Like vetteguy said, the cold air intake and also some flowmasters or magnaflow exhaust.

also try putting some weight over your rear axle, that way you get more traction off the line. (traction is a big problem for me cause i drive a stepside single cab 350 v8 and the rear end is extremely light)

 

dual exhaust, K&N filter, and Superchips superpaq. It's done wonders for my 03 2500HD
