Folks, we've got a 2007 classis 1500 with the 40-20-40 seat with the middle seat fixed. does anyone know how to make this seat foldable like on the higher class trucks. this is a work truck and it would be nice to have the seat fold to sort of a platform/armrest/etc

You can purchase just the middle section off eBay or through a salvage yard. The only other thing I have seen is people will unbolt the backrest and set it down to be used as an armrest. It just eliminates its use as a backrest.

 

You can unbolt the backrest as this might can give you lots of space. Just see the manual to know where are the bolts and how you can do that as all the steps are clearly mentioned in it.
