A friend has 06 Impala SS with the 5.3 its fast but I think my truck would beat it.

 

I read in either Car and Driver or Autoweek that those things have terrible torque steer. In fact it was so much so that the person who wrote the article made the comment that they didn't see it being practicle. Here anything like that from your friend?

 

No way he loves that car I don't think he could ever say something negative bout it.

 

I saw a 96 Impala SS the other night hella nice on 22"s.To me that car is a classic I've always wanted one.

 

i have a friend with an 06 SS and he loves the thing. it does great in the snow as well he says. the only thing noticed was that when we floored it off the line it would take offok then when the wieght shifted the tires would spin. the only time you could see torque steer with that would be on the track. being "practical" how many people do that? Nice car tho.

The SS model was only in 06 it has the LS4 5.3 303hp front wheel drive.I believe its the same engine as the 06 Monte Carlo SS which I think is way nicer.
