I am trying to import a Silverado into Australia and due to our import laws, it must be built earlier than 1st Jan 1989. I am looking at an 89 model, but don't know if it was an 88 build. Anyone know how I can check the build date (mainly month/year) of a truck? The VIN is 1GCDC14HXKE250933.

Located on the drivers door there should be a white information sticker. At the top right corner you will find the month/year of build. Good luck

 

Hi, we live in WA and are wanting to import a Chev Silverado pickup, how did you get on with finding the build date, was it easy? Did you end up bringing the vehicle in and how did you get on? Thanks in anticipation
