I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd with a 5.3L. I broke off my center console lid and consequentially it tore a chunk from the console insert. The folks at the GM dealership tell me that the whole console (#88986134) is $218 and the part I need, the insert by itself (#12475016) is $187. That is insane for a piece of plastic. To make matters worse, the dealership says that if I order the wrong part that I will eat it.[:@]
The microfiche diagram doesn't even look like what I have but I know that it is a GMC console. I have already tried the junkyards to no avail. Any suggestions?
