I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd with a 5.3L. I broke off my center console lid and consequentially it tore a chunk from the console insert. The folks at the GM dealership tell me that the whole console (#88986134) is $218 and the part I need, the insert by itself (#12475016) is $187. That is insane for a piece of plastic. To make matters worse, the dealership says that if I order the wwrong part that I will eat it.[:@]
The microfiche diagram doesn't even look like what I have but I know that it is a GMC console. I have already tried the junkyards to no avail. Any suggestions?

 

Hey its really sad that they are costing you so much :-( i have an alternate for you, visit here Nissan Auto Parts they provide auto parts at the lowest price and what more all the parts cover a free 2 year warranty, if you don't find your part just contact them and they will get it for you :-) hope this will help...

 

Mine broke this week too, I called the Chevy dealer where my bro works and asked for a console repair kit, they told me they didnt have it. They dont know what they have.

 

Did you try LMC online catalog. They have a lot of aftermarket parts for interior and trim.
