Default Need help with ignition module!

I have a '91 K1500 5.7L and the ignition module keeps burning up. I fried 3 in one week. The mechanic can't find the problem, got any ideas?
Thanks.

IsDelco OEM? If so, that's what they are. One fried on the original distributor and two on a new OEM distributor. Would going to a performance distributor (Accel, etc.)and module help?
Thanks

I say fried because being electrical I assume they are burning up. They just quit working. When I replace them the truck starts right up and runs fine for about 20 miles.

so it dies after maybe 20 miles...do you know what it loses?..spark?..fuel?..injector pulse?...I'm thinking something like an ignition coil may be cooling off and coming back to life on ya
