Definately keep us posted. Maybe you could make a video so I have something to go by in comparison to mine.

i have a nelson mail order tune an love it!!
a live tune would definitely be better, but for what i have done to my truck its pretty quick and could definitely tell a huge difference as soon as i plugged the ECM in.

How much does Nelson Performance get for a tuned ECU? Is there setup where they send you one and you pay the corecharge and then send them back your old one for your core money back? I might be getting a custome tune done after I sell my Supra depending on how much spending money I'm left with after moving to Tennessee and getting settled in.

The tune was $375 with a $55 core because i cant send them my old one back because its locked from wheatley. And then $10 shipping. So all togather it was $440.

Right next to your battery under the hood you will see the two wireing harness going to it.

cool. i will look at it later today. is it fairly easy to remove?

also what kind of tune did you go with? im thinking of a dual 87/89 octane tune they offer with their recommended Torque management of 70-80% removed.
im not really looking for top end, just a little better towing. the factory 3.42 gears arekilling me.

good luck with the tune. when should it be in?

ok, so i looked at lunch today. is the pcm mounted on the firewall by three studs and nuts, black in color, with the two plugs coming out of it?

i have a "brace" overtop of that area connecting the fender to the cab.

Nope. Pop your hood and on your driver's side, between the grille and the driver's side headlight, there is a black box mounted at an angle, next to your red terminal box. It is about 8" x 8" and about 4" thick.
