I installed a new door latch from one of the big aftermarket companies. It seems like good solid quality. I installed the latch correctly (what a pain that was), and the door shuts nice and tight. What I don't understand is why I'm getting a metallic twang, like the strum of an "A" string on a guitar, every time I shut the door. I think it's that little hooked black steel keeper that goes over the striker. Do I install something wrong? I'll live with the twanging if I have to!
