hey, guys, i just joined tonight, partly to post this question about my 04' 2500hd and cuz i always have questions.. so here's the first one..
So i Just went out to my truck, that has been sitting for half the day in about 25 degrees, and when i open the door i ear an odd, new sound, from behind the instrument panel. It kinda sounds like a very weak motor, sort of like what a trickle charger or some other small electric motor would make. So i put the key in and turn the electric on and its still making the noise, but it goes away when i turn the engine over, and stays off when i turn it off, but... after i lock the truck then unlock it again and open the door, its doing it again... Now i have spent the last hr, b4 joining this forum, researching the hell out this issue, and i learned that there are many instrument panel noises with these trucks, but nowhere did i read of any sounds coming from that area when the vehicle is off, and has been off for hrs..hmmmm just kinda stumped
any thoughts or ideas on this would be great, thanks in advance

 

sounds like a door buzzer that is cold what happens when its warm and you do the exact same thing? It could be just the buzzer going "out"

 

I have also heard blend door electric motors do that too.
