Newb question...Is it possible to remove the spare tire HOIST?

I want to remove the spare tire hoist from my truck, but I don't want to throw a TPMS code or anything. Is it possible to do this? I have a 2010 1500 LT crew cab. THANKS in advance!

yes i have done it

if its anything like my 99 its just 1 bolt that you undo and you unhook it

What's a tpms code? Your spare is falling??? LOL I would imagine there is ways of fooling the sensor.
