Hey guys, I've had my silverado for about a year and a half now, just now getting around to the forums!!! It's a 2002 Z71 ext cab, 5.3 vortec, tow/haul package, smoked tails, debadged, cold air intake, cat-delete exhaust, bug guard, rain guards, bed caps, bed liner, small lil nice stereo system, 20" rims and some good ole AT tires (looking for a change in wheels/tires btw!!!)
Hi, my name is Mike and im new here. I posted a question then i saw the newbie check in forum, sorry about that. I own an 05 Silverado Z71 and my son owns an 1980 Silverado that i gave him when he turned 16 that we've completely restored. I've always owned Chevy trucks! Looks like a great forum with lots of good info and i look forward to reading through it.
Hi, I'm Marc, I've got a /97 GMC Z71 with ~150k mi. (247k km). It is the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. I'm considering purchasing a 2010 but will keep the 97. I also have a 1950 GMC 1ton thats been in the family since new. It needs some TLC but will still do a days work.

Hey folks,
I've been a GM owner for about 11 years now, and have had a variety of various GM vehicles. My newest purchase is the one that got me to register here. She's a 1994 GMC Sierra K1500 SLE. She was sadly de-engined and vandalized prior to my purchasing her, and hope to find some folks here that can help me put her back together.
This truck has a 14 bolt rear end with 6 lug wheels. I'm told that the 14 bolt wasn't standard this year, but it doesn't seem like anything had been changed beneath the truck. I look forward to talk with most of you, and hope some of you are 1994 GM Masters. A lot of work will need to be done to this truck to get her back on the road.

When I was 16 I got a hand me down 85 Silverado 10 from my dad. He bought it brand new in 84 and I got it in 2000. That truck was built like a tank and I loved it. It stopped ticking 50 miles away from hitting 200,000 miles. I then bought a 2002 4x4 S-10 Blazer and it had problems with the 4wd kicking in and out when driving without hitting the electronic shifter had the transfer case serviced for $3,000.00 and a few thousand miles later it started happening again. I was stationed at Eielson AFB in Alaska down the road from Fairbanks, Alaska so I needed the extra traction so I then traded it on a 2005 Subaru Impreza RS had that for 3 years and then traded it in for a 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi when I got to Hill AFB in Utah. I had it almost for two years and loved every minute of it, did a lot of mods to it and had tons of fun in that car. But every good thing must come to an end, I got married and then a year later we have a kid on the way. I wanted to keep it but the car seat wouldn't fit and we also needed a truck because I was tired of borrowing trucks from friends and family so I traded in the STi for a 2008 Silverado 1500 4.8l LS with 40,000 miles. I love this truck and it gets decent gas mileage for a gas truck.

This truck has a Tuff Country lift kit don't know how high but it has 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Grappler tires, factory installed locking rear diff., and tow package. Next on the mod list is a Gibson Super Truck exhaust, Gibson headers, volant powercore cai, and diablo sport programmer.
