I have a 07 silverado classic regular cabwith a 4.3 V6. How do you think it would do in a 1/8 mile and a 1/4 mile race with a nissan frontier crew cab4.0 V6?

I would put my money on you because your truck is lighter and has a bigger motor.

 

Heh I dunno I actually got beat by my buddies 07 Frontier Nismo by 2-4 lengths in the 1/4 so I dunno bout you putting up a good fight.

 

You obviously brought your truck for fuel economy, so why be worried about going fast anyway? You have a v6 when you should've got a v8! I wouldn't put any money on it if it were me. If it's a buddy just wanting a little fun, that's cool, but you didn't buy a v6 to go fast and race people i hope? I'd challenge him to see who gets better mpg's, lol!

 

Is your truck a 5 speed? If not get a tune and get rid of or reduce the Torque Management. Thats about all you can do to uncork that thing, if tuned "lightly" you will even get better gas mileage.

 

I've seen people build that 4.3 up pretty nice. I never would have guessed that the frontier would be lighter then a silverado. If that frontier has a supercharger, I doubt you have a chance.

 

Rofl even without the super charger he has no chance... the Frontier V6 has more HP/TQ than the Vortec 4.3 unless its a manual n he cant shift you got no real chance.

 

funny you brought this up. I raced my 2003 4.3 silverado against the 2003 nissan stock frontier and although i took him off the line, he quickly caught up and we were bumper to bumper for about 10 lengths. then as previously stated, weight makes all the difference, he left me.

 

I really need to find a frontier
