Default No power to anything!!

I am writing about a truck at my work. it's a 2000 silverado 2500 (not sure what engine, but I know its a gas) auto trans. about 100,000 miles

Today, got in the truck, started it up, and drove it about a half mile. parked it and let it sit for about 4 hours. Got back in it, turned the key, and nothing happened. No radio, locks, lights, gauges, nothing. I thought the battery was dead so I called my friend to jump start it. Hooked up the cables correctly, and still the same problem. when it was hooked up nothing would come on on the dash and it wouldn't turn over.

Any suggestions on what to do? its like a fuse that controls everything went dead!

hmm i would also check battery connection, i ran into the same problem on my 03 5.3, and it was a battery connection.

Also check your engine to frame ground. Had this issue in my 93'. would work intermittently.
