Noisy driveshaft ?
I just noticed a noise only when I am in drive. It is a scraping noise coming from the underside middle of the truck. I am wondering if it could be the driveshaft or ujoint...
Not sure... 2006 gmc Sierra 2500HD 127K miles.
It is definitely not the brakes !
Any comments on how to check this with out the car in drive.... ?
Thanks in advance

Hey,
Put the truck on stands, make sure its stable. And put the Truck in drive, You should be able to find out what it is underneath with a creeper.
Thats how i check if my 4x4 is workin on my truck, by putting it on stands.
Hope this helps.

Glad that your problem was fixed.
But i do have a comment for chrisbmo2000.
IF!!!! you know how to use jack stands, it is perfectly safe, and if not just as safe to use jack stands as a rack would be.
PLUS, what if some of us do not have access to a rack? or the $ to use one?
