Looking for the OEM part number for the front shock absorbers on a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 w/Z71 package. I have browsed the GMparts website looking for this item, but when I look for front suspension parts, there are shock absorbers in different locations in the search....It gets confusing.
I'm trying to replace my factory shocks with equivalent.

Please provide me with your VIN number and I can look them up for you. There are many choices and we may need to get the code off of them but I can see what i can come up with.

 

I found on Newtakeoff.com they have the OEM id listed with all there parts. For a silverado front shock they have 89040181. I have included the link to

GMpartsdirect.com gave me a part number of 89040177 for the front shocks....showing $93.85...is that for a pair or each? I assume a pair.
