Off Topic - Ford Aspire
So I was looking around on craigs list when I saw a 97 Ford Aspire for sale for $200 that did not run. So I thought to myself this would make a great bump and run car if I can get it running. I went with a buddy to go look at it, and it was determined that the lady had ran it out of oil and possibly fried the motor (hoped it was just a spun barring). We got her down to $140 which the car is well worth in scrap, let alone the part out value if we cant do anything with it (car is inGREAT condition other than the motor). So we drag it back home and start to tear it down. After dropping the oil pan and pulling some other parts it didnt take long to find that there was a piston through the side of the block along with many other pieces in the oil pan. How we didnt notice this before I have no idea. Ooopps!
So that was my adventure from yesterday. Just figured I would tell the story. Now we just need to find a new motor and we have a great bump and run car!

If it is a 5 speed you need to find a bigger "KIA" motor to put in there. I know it is a Ford but I am 99% sure it was build by KIA for Ford. But tell me how sweet it would be to pick up a bigger 4 banger out of a bone yard for that thing and shoehorn it in there. You'll have a little "traffic light warrior". Ha ha ha.

I had a 95 - LOVED IT! 40mpg and it could take a beating. Yes, it was a Kia. Bought it for $500, drove it for 2 years - changed the oil 3 times and never put another dollar or car wash to it. Sold it for $500. Wish I hadn't though.
