Oil light

Default Oil light

i had jsut changed my oil and the filter a couple weeks ago and jsut now the light indicator is showing up saying to check engine oil. I checked to see if i was low and i wasnt at all, any ideas of whats going on?

Did you reset the light when you changed the oil? If not just reset it and don't worry about it.

the check-oil lite is the sensor in the pan..if its full,the sensor is bad

Yeah, the reset is only for when your oil needs changed, which goes off of engine revolutions. If your check engine oil light is on then like Argonand Cracker said, bad sensor in pan or low pressure. What is your oil pressure at?

as of right now the gauge reads just below the 60 mark.. thats good right? and if it needs to be reset how would you do that?

turn the key on all the way without starting the engine, and press the gas pedal 3 times, turn the key off.

yep i did that but in the manual it said the oil light will blink telling you that it was reset, but it didnt do that

and i recently changed my battery so could that have been the problem too?

Loosing power should not effect the OLS, the system that tells you when to change the oil.
When you reset the signal did you push the pedal to the floor all 3 times?
