Default oil pressure

I have a 91 k2500 with a 350 5speed and my oil pressure gauge doesnt work. When you turn the switch on the gauge moves a little bit but is stuck way above 60 psi. Is it maybe the gauge, the way the wires are hooked up sensor? It has a motor out of a 89 3/4t. Maybe a wire not hooked up? any help would be appreciated... thanks
