I stood right behind a Z06(I think) that was on a dyno at a big local car show last fall. He was sprayin nitros and it was so loud at WOT I seriously thought I was gonna hurt my ears. The most awesome thing I've ever been privy to... even if it probably caused permanent damage to my ears, LOL!

id love to go fi but i tow so thats a no no. every kit says that you cant tow with it. i guess it puts to much stress on the supercharger. and id have to fully build for turbos. our trucks cant handle the torque spikes. mad head lift mixed with the smallest bit of coolant equals poped motor.

Hahaha... STS @ 5psi on the stock 4.8 is perfectly fine you just need computer tuning prevent any ping/knock which is provided I believe also by STS... Id say out of pure daily driveability and drive-terrain safety I bet you could get near 8psi with 42lbph injectors. Though that was if you had around $5k to throw around.

I had the same problem. Ditch the Hypertech and get a Predator. Reduce the TQM (Torque Management) on the trans, use their "canned tune" and dial the tune in using the logger and some help from Diablosport. Predators don't make tons more hp than hypertech, but the powerband is better, the mpg is better and there is very little "hesitation" due to TQM on either a dead start or a rolling start. If you use anything other than a K&N air filter, Hypertechs cannot compensate for any extra air comming in so the engine retards the timing and therefore cuts the HP. Predators will too but the HP can be dialed back in at home using a data logger on the Predator and a little experimenting (You can modify any and all tunes stored on the Predator, even the canned ones). Diablosport will help you with it.
