Default ok, so it is definatly time for a tune and more power!!!!

So last night at the red light i see a new cobalt and i believe a civic at the light...and of course they are reving the engines going to race...So I sit quietly behind them and then go as soon as they do...they start to pull ahead at first but then around 70 i start gaing on them...and what do you know as soon as i hit 100, they start waiving....i was so pissed....

So i am starting my list...little short on cash but i figure i would start with Exhaust, TBS, and a tune.....any other suggestions...

Why are you trying to keep up with little cars? I don't think you'll ever catch them with a truck.

You can catch them and even pass them up, with a lot of gains. But the way I look at it is if I can take them off the line I will just drive over their hood and crush the radiator (if there was money on the race). Then try and see if they will everrace a truck again!

I took a Cobalt with my truck when it was bone stock excluding the K&N drop in air filter. Those things are nothing for our trucks. The only problem you have is that top speed governor. Get a custom tune and set the top speed to whatever you want it to be. Just make sure you have tires that are capable withstanding those speeds.

LOL, that's the way I see it too. I have no intention of topping out my truck. I still owe like $15,000 on it so I definitely don't wanna wreck it. But if you wanna do that, more power to you. Personally I don't want to go any faster than I can go on a drag strip. So 100mph is plenty fast enough for me.
