opinions? reviews? 2003 1500 LS
We're currently truck shopping.... looking at a 2003 Chev Silverado 1500 LS (Canada) shortbox - where can I find reviews, opinions, discussions re: this specific truck (the good, the bad and the ugly - written by consumers - not the dealership! or the automaker!).
Have there been extensive recalls on this truck? is it good value for the money? We're looking for a truck to hold 2 adults, 2 growing children (young) - and 2 dogs (70 lbs each!).
Can we replace a regular back window with a sliding rear window, so that we can attach a canopy to the back for the dogs to ride in safely? (that way we can open the sliding window and the dogs can see us - air exchange, etc). Suggestions on where to have this done (not specific companies, as I realize most of the members are in the US...but should we do it at the dealership, or go to a wreckers and have someone else install? etc).
Also - want to buy a 5th wheel - for camping. How is this for hauling a 5th wheel?
Any other information that you guys think would be important... please share....
