Performance chips?

Performance chips?
I have a new 2006 silverado 1500 4x4 with the 4.8L i was thinking about getting a performance chip for it, is there any suggestions about what kind of chip to get? same question about a Cold Air Intake

Chips were used in old body style trucks, now they tune your pcm.
