WHAT THE CRAP!!! The First two spark plug boots on the left(pass. side) of the engine wiggle up and down while my truck is running! I popped the hood to examine a ticking noise that the truck has had for a while and noticed both of these boots wiggling like they were alive.............[&:] Anybody have the foggiest? Also the truck has been making a constant tick noise mostly audible from the front fender wells with the hood closed. I was thinking this was common for this engine but my dad's doesn't do it and it's kinda got me worried about it. Especially since seeing these demon possesed spark plug boots.

 

sounds like your plugg boots are loose. probably could use a new set of plugg wires.

 

Throw some new plugs in there while you are at it...

 

False alarm. I let her cool down for a bit and yanked the spark plug boots off to find out that both of those spark plugs were loose! I took the left 4 spark plugs out to change them one day and realized they were all still good and put them back in but for some reason the front two loosened up on me.... I don't know how that could have happened cuase I usually go ape on my spark plugs but it has me kinda worried. Are the spark plugs on a 03 Sierra supposed to have washers of any kind? I know most cars do but none of the spark plugs on my truck have washers. Don't know if that could be the problem.
