Problem with new injector on 89 2500w/5.7
HI there,
I just got my truck back from a crappy shop and they told me I had a bad injector (Drivers side). I drove the truck home and it ran but would barely go over 25 Mph. Anyway, got it home, put in new injector and tried to start it and there is so much fuel in the exhaust pipe it actually caught fire! Luckily, I had an extinguisher handy and put it out. Anyway, I let it sit for a while thinking I could let some of the fuel evaporate but when I gave it another try, you can see the fuel dripping out where the manifold meets the Y pipe. Is there something I need to check or is it just so flooded with fuel that it's going to have to sit for a while? I took the plugs out on the passenger side (where it's happening) to try and help it evaporate but I'm still getting fuel buildup in the pipe.
Anybody's help would be huge. I use this truck for work and need to get it running tonight!
Thanks!
