I am looking to fix the spring under the drivers seat of my 2000 silverado. According to the book I am to unhook the battery, then disconnect the fuse for the airbag, and then disconnect the wiring behind the steering column. My question is, can I unplug the battery, and fuse, then take the seat out and disconnect the connection under the drivers seat without setting off the airbag?
