Quickest exhaust upgrade?
Hey,
I have a 92 silverado that has a 350v8 and no Catalytic converter. I want to get a little more of a growl out of my truck on acceleration and startup but not when idling or cruising. I'm not in a position to spend a lot of money or to spend any amount of downtime. I have looked at cherry bombs but I would like to hear from some guys who have Installed these systems themselves. Thanks for any responses |
RE: Quickest exhaust upgrade?
Borla or Spin Tech both sound nice...my preference is Borla.

RE: Quickest exhaust upgrade?
Flowtech Terminator. Sounds similar to a Flowmaster but more mellow in my opinion.

RE: Quickest exhaust upgrade?
The Flowtech's are known to rust out really quickly. If you get one, I would coat it.

RE: Quickest exhaust upgrade?
TheFlowtech Terminator on my dad's truck lasted for about 5 years and then he had it welded and lasted another year before he had to replace the muffler, duals and chrome chambers.

RE: Quickest exhaust upgrade?
I think the Flowtech Warlock was the one known to rust our pretty quick. I should have clarified that...

RE: Quickest exhaust upgrade?
What price range will these systems fall under? Sorry my power was out and I just got the Internet back

RE: Quickest exhaust upgrade?
Last time I looked at the Flowtech Terminator was just over a 100 dollars... I looked it up on Summit racing and at the auto parts store.

RE: Quickest exhaust upgrade?
I looked at the Terminator and the cheapest I found it was around $60 which if you ask me, isn't bad

RE: Quickest exhaust upgrade?
i had a glasspack on my truck with the cat on it sounded ok at 55 but never herd it when i took the cat off but apperently its 2 loud for my town so i just put a flowmaster 50 on its more of a tone then anything and at 70 i can her it in the cab (if subs are off) and it sounds nice and it costs about 100 or so
