Hey the diff or somthing in the drive line pops like its loose when I come to a stop but I am unable to figure out what it is ? Any Ideas whould be greatly appreciated . Makes me wonder if its a U-Joint or somthing but I have checked and everything is tight down there worried it might be a tranny mount broken or somthing insides the diff .

 

Get it to a rear end shop. Mine did that too for about two weeks before the input bearing went out and I broke the input shaft in the rear end. Had to have the whole works rebuilt and it was 1200 bucks.

could be a ujoint or a loose tranny mount or tranny cross brace....worth looking at before you go to the rear end shop

 

That would be my guess too. Nothing in the rear should be moving at a dead stop, but the tranny would be struggling against the brakes and the tranny mount/crossmember could easily be slapping against the frame.

 

It could also be a cracked or broken spring.

Have someone that you trust get in the truck, have them shift from drive to reverse with only the e-brake on. This will give you an idea of what is moving and you should be able to see what is moving around under there. If it wont do it while you are under the truck then drive it a few feet and stop, make sure to hold the main brake when this is done. Then once again get under the truck and see if you can hear the noise or see what is moving.

I would be willing to bet that it is the input shaft on the rear diff. Possibly even could be the axle wrapping up when you stop and it relaxes or even torques the opposite way when you go to accelerate.

The only thing I would do is try and see if you can find what it is and if you cannot find what it is and don't neccesarily want a shop to fix it (costs too much). Then have them find the problem and give you an estimate then just walk away, and fix it yourself.
That is what I would do if I couldn't find the problem!

 

When I've had u-joint probs it was always a little after I've just started moving from a stop. I don't think a u-joint is a problem for you.
