Im not 100% sure on this but aren't the z71's supposed to have the G-80 in them. Cause the 02 and earlier are "limited slip"

that sure would be nice but i dont think its specifically the g80 just a locker. i could be wrong on this tho.

jack up the rear spin put the truck in neutral spin 1 tire by hand if the other tire spins the same direction its posi if it spins the opposite direction then its a open diff
