for a little more than that though, i could get alot better shocks.

 

The best "stock" replacements are bilstein. They are built to GM specifications and are very good for the price.

 

I just installed Rancho RSX 17068-9. So far so good.

Good handling (at the expense of a little less riding comfort, not much), excellent off-road.

My only complaint is that rancho sent me the wrong boot for one of the shocks on the rear, so i just fit it the best i could and went on.

 

how much did you pay for the Rancho's?

Im considering Bilsteins.

 

They were $250 on summit, so i just took the receipt from summit to advance and they met the price.

 

so the ride quality is not that much compromised?

i drove my truck about 80 miles today and the ride quality is maybe a LITTLE stiffer than stock.

my truck handles a little bit better too, so i'm very satisfied with them. they handle both on/off-road very well.
