Default replacing automatic transmission lines 2005 GMC

Anyone do this? I have a 2005 GMC Sierra four door 1/2 ton, and the lines are starting to drip. I would like to replace them myself. But I cant find any info on it. Any help, tips would be apreciated. Thanks Bruce

Are you buying pre molded lines (OEM) ? Or fabricating up your own new lines?

Great idea getting OEM lines. I highly recommend replacing the lines one at a time. This will avoid crossing the connection points.
Some lines will have different size fittings to avoid this mistake.

I've never replaced BOTH the lines... I only ever had to place one.
It's a tight place to work but you can do it.

Disconnect one line at the tranni then disconnect the same line at the rad.
The lines may have clips attaching them to each other. Remove those.
Start pulling the line back.

When you go to put your new line.. wrap the leading end in tape so as not to damage the tip of the line and to prevent dirt from getting in the line.
Repeat this for the second tranni cooling line.

After topping up your tranni fluid. Keep checking your tranni fluid level a few times to insure all the air has escaped.

Let us know how it went.
