I didn't get the Bose system in my 07 silverado, i got the single cd with mp3 jack. I have heard that the head units are the same and that a chevy tech should be able to reprogram my head unit to got from 4 ohms to the same as the bose system while also giving me 4 channels of low level output.

Is this true and can i just go into a dealer and ask a tech to do this or does it need to be a "side job?"

 

That can not be done at a dealer...it would have to be programmed for that unit

 

i'd just get an aftermarket cd player
