Default sacrilage

Well I'll most likely be starting at the local Dodge dealership as a porter. Hopefully can quickly work my way to being a tech. I am going to make it my #1 priority to get the "Yeah it can beat a Hemi" sticker. Where can I get one of those?

I used to be a salesman at a ford dealership. Kind of hard to make a sale when the customer says "so what doyou drive" and of course I had to say a chevy. That job didn't last long.

Did they make you park your vehicle at the back of the lot because it wasn't a Ford?

LOL, yeah I can see that being a problem. Ofcourse most sells guys are liers anyway. You could've tried saying... "I drive that Mustang GT over there. Best car I've ever bought, has 350,000 miles on her and still going."

I ain't selling Dodges fortunately. I'll be a porter until they can make me an apprentice tech which they said would be relatively soon. I was an apprentice tech at a local VW dealer a while back until my dad talked me into starting a tree business with him but that's falling through so, oh well. Definitely don't recommend a VW though! They are great cars until you gotta fix em. Costs twice as much to fix a VW as any other car I've ever seen, literally!

Try fixing a Mercedes Benz, Saab, or Cadillac. They are all expensive to get fixed. But at least those guys that work on those tend to know what they are doing, they for the most part get sent to special schools to be certified to work on them. From what I have seen.

Anyone working at a dealership for a long time has been sent to school to work on them. At the VW dealer you had to be ASE certified after a certain amount of time and you eventually had to be VW certified as well. To top it off you couldn't work on certain vehicles without haveing specific VW certification such as the Phaeton. No one is aloud to work on those without being certified by VW to work on them.

As far as other brands being expensive, I don't know I haven't checked those but I know half the time I found myself in the parts department getting stuff for the cars I was working on I would find myself choking and gagging when I heard the prices! LOL![&:]

Yeh it kinda sucks when you have to buy a part that costs more than you get paid in one check.

U wanna here some crap?! The indash CD player/navigation screen in a Touareg costs like $1500 if I remember correctly. I think it was more but I don't wanna be called a liar.

Yeh, a friend of mine spent like 2000 for a "factory" installed navagation system for his minivan. They put in an Audiovox externally mounted piece of crap. He was pissed! He refuses to use it, considers it to be the most expensive dashboard decoration on the market today.
