Man I was very fortunate to buy the truck with the lift already on it. Therefore, I can’t give you solid answer on changes in mpg. Who ever put the lift on certainly did it right. You can tell by looking at it that a professional installed it. I’m running 33’s at the present time. I’m not too happy with that, but the tires still have a lot of tread on them. Was they wear out I’m most likely going to go to a more aggressive tread and 35’s to fill out the fender well some.
As far as a decrease in mpg, I can tell what happen on my 95 Z-71. My father and I installed a 6 inch suspension lift and we did it all ourselves. It really isn’t that difficult once you have all the stock parts off. I notice about a 3 mpg drop after the lift and larger tires were installed.
If you need me to post some pictures of the undercarriage, just let me know and I’ll hook you up. If you look on the Post Your Truck thread, you’ll see a front shot that shows the rancho skid plate, which I love! Let me know if I can help you in anyway bro!
