Default selling the F-body...

Well I'm selling my F-body. Spent an hour at the bone yard searching for the wiring harness I needed. Cut my original one out and wired up the new one and had the same problem. So rather than fix it, I washed it and I'm slapping a for sell sign on her. Now I'm trying to decide between dumping the money into my truck or buying another car or truck. I like having a project vehicle that way I'm not constantly ******* out my main source of transportation. But it would be nice to buy some headers and rims for my truck too. What do ya'll think?

I would say buy a 1990 to 1998 single cab short bed and drop like a 454 or something in it. And then have fun at the track.

I'm with hunt on this one... but i'd go more with a late 70s/early 80s model and either make yourself a badass street machine or a mud toy (depending on what you want)

Actually it's a 4th gen and it's about to be sold already. I put it on craigslist.com last night and I've already had like 7 e-mails about it. One guy came over today and said he was gonna buy it for his son as soon as he collects on a piece of property he just sold. That's $1,700 in my pocket.... now to figure out what the heck I should do, LOL. I would like to have another truck with a bigger, badder engine in it, but I found a 78-79 Monte Carlo with only 100,000 original miles on the 305. I'm REALLY leaning towards the Monte but haven't actually decided yet. I need some more opinions!

Okay now I'm leaning towards cheating on GM. I just drove a 87' Toyota Supra 5 speed........ veeerrrry tempting! The dude cut off the muffler so the exhuast exits right under the seats so it sounds GREAT. We'll see.

On a side note, one of my friends from church just bought a suped up 454 Silverado. That's a pretty sick ride too!

Well I finally sold the rascal! I was a little heart broken at first but I always am. I spend so much time and effort on my cars that it pains me to let someone else have them. But in any event, now I have $1,500 to either blow on my truck or buy another project. I am having a whole lot of trouble deciding whether or not to put the money in this or buy something else to hot rod. I can't seem to find any good cars around here so now I'm leaning towards buying another truck and hot rodding that. I'd like to lower one and put it on some nice rims but I'm not sure yet. There aren't any overly good deals around here right now so I my funds will be growing. What would ya'll do?![&:]

Save the money and keep adding to it ...then buy yourself a kick-**** project. $1700 will get you a rust bucket ...but $3K-$5K will get you something sweet.
