RE: service 4wd light
Uhh I've had that once or twice but it went away. I'm pretty sureyou can get that turned off with one of those diagnostic devices at your local auto parts store. I wouldent worry about it as a physical problem unless you hear or feel something. Good luck Marc!

RE: service 4wd light
i've got an 03 z-71 mine ever once in a while will freak out and kick into auto 4wd or kick the transfer case into neutral and the switch. a friend of mine a long time gm tech told me abouton some of these trucksthe actual wiring harness for the 4wd (located on the driver inner fenderwell behind the power distribution block) its a 3 wire harness is to short. i admit i didn't belive him at first (i wish i would have) and bought the swich on the dash..........soooo yep that was an expensive mistake [&:]so i go to check the harness andsure enough it had to much tension onit (to short)so i just extended mine, heat shrinked it put new conduit cover onit and let her go. that been over a year now and not the first problem since.......knock on wood
