Service 4wd message

I just started getting a message saying service 4wd on my 2006 Z71. Truck has 196,000 miles on it. What do I need to do?

It is your electric actuator on the transfer case.

My 07.5 Silverado did the same. I unplugged the wiring harness to the actuator and sprayed it with some electrical contact conditioner. All good now
